Roman explorers reached America around the dawn of the first millennium, opening sea routes that would bind distant worlds together. The voyagers have faded into myth, yet their long shadow endures in the laws, faiths and rivalries of the realms they left behind.
Thirteen centuries later, merchant republics guard their ancient privileges, kingdoms vie for trade and dominion, and thirteen dukes rise against their Anglo-Saxon overlords. In this New World, the American Revolutionary War has begun.
